Privacy Policy

Who we are

GetJobAssist (“we”, “us”) is the job-search assistant at getjobassist.com. This policy explains what we collect when you create an account, connect Google, upload a resume, or let the agent hunt and apply for you.

What we collect

• Account. Name, email, password hash (if you sign in with email), timezone, plan, and the roles you want.
• Resume and documents. Resume text, tailored versions, ATS scores, and designed PDFs you generate in the app.
• Hunt activity. Job listings we find, applications, approvals, inbox scans, and calendar bookings made through the product.
• Google, if you connect it. OAuth tokens so we can read and send Gmail on your behalf and read or create Calendar events. We request only the scopes shown on the Google consent screen.
• Billing. If you subscribe, Stripe handles card data. We store plan status and customer identifiers, not your full card number.
• Usage. Basic product analytics in your workspace (searches, applies, replies) so you can see what the agent did.

How we use it

We use this data only to run GetJobAssist for you: search jobs, tailor applications, draft recruiter replies, book interviews you approve (or that Autopilot is allowed to book), and show your dashboard. We do not sell your resume, inbox, or calendar to employers, data brokers, or advertisers.

Google Gmail and Calendar

Connecting Google is optional. Email-and-password accounts work without it. If you connect Google, tokens stay in your workspace so the agent can help with recruiter mail and scheduling. You can disconnect Google from Profile at any time; we then stop using those tokens for new actions. Google’s own privacy terms also apply to data held by Google.

Where it lives

Production data is stored on our hosting provider with the application database on an attached volume. Local development uses a file on your machine. We use third parties that are necessary to run the product, including authentication, the language-model provider that powers the agent, Google (if connected), and Stripe (if you pay).

How long we keep it

We keep account and hunt history while your account is open so the agent does not re-apply to the same jobs and so you can review past work. You can replace a resume, delete documents, and turn hunt off in the app. To delete the account and stored tokens entirely, email privacy@getjobassist.com from the address on the account and we will wipe the workspace.

Cookies and sign-in

We use a session cookie (or equivalent) to keep you signed in. We do not run third-party advertising pixels on getjobassist.com.

Children

GetJobAssist is for people looking for work who can form a contract. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Your choices

• Use email sign-in only — never connect Google.
• Leave hunt off, or require Approvals instead of Autopilot.
• Replace or remove resume files in Resume and Documents.
• Ask for a full wipe at privacy@getjobassist.com.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that meaningfully affects how we use personal data, we will update the date above and post the new version here.
